About
Welcome to 나주면옥 (NAJU MYUNOK), a hidden gem nestled in Duluth, Georgia. This delightful Korean restaurant invites you to experience a culinary journey that brings the authentic flavors of Korea right to your table. Located at 3505 Gwinnett Pl Dr NW #101, NAJU MYUNOK offers a fast-casual dining experience that is both comforting and invigorating.
As you step inside, you’re greeted by a spacious and clean dining area which sets the perfect backdrop for enjoying a comforting bowl of soup or a plate of naengmyeon (cold noodles). The self-service model enhances convenience, enabling you to order through user-friendly kiosks, offering a quick, no-fuss way to satisfy your cravings. You’ll appreciate the absence of tipping pressure and the delightful visibility of the colorful dishes displayed on the ordering screen.
The menu boasts a compelling selection of soups that are nothing short of spectacular. Customers rave about the Dumpling Ox Bone Soup and the Spicy Naju Style Beef Soup, both of which are served piping hot and bursting with flavor. Perfectly paired with various kimchi side dishes, each bowl feels like a warm hug on a rainy day. You can definitely taste the care and quality in every slurp!
When it comes to the naengmyeon, the Spicy Sweet Potato Starch Noodles are a standout favorite. Each bowl is a delightful assembly of textures and flavors—dried pollack, crispy cucumbers, and a hint of pear work harmoniously to create a refreshing yet tantalizing dish. Whether you’re a fan of the traditional or looking for a bold twist, NAJU MYUNOK delivers a dining experience you won’t soon forget.
While the food receives high praise, it’s worth mentioning that the service could use a touch of improvement. As some guests noted, the enthusiasm of the staff may sometimes lean toward casual conversations rather than attentive service. However, once you're seated and enjoying the food, you’ll likely find those moments trivial in comparison to the quality of the dishes.
In conclusion, if you’re seeking an authentic taste of Korean comfort food in a clean, casual setting, look no further than 나주면옥 (NAJU MYUNOK). It’s a place where the aroma of broth fills the air, and every dish tells a story. Grab your fork and come over—your taste buds will thank you!
“ The soups here are fantastic—great selection, very affordable, and served piping hot and delicious. The self-service kiosk makes ordering convenient. However, I found the portions for the side dishes quite small. When I requested refills, the server didn't even respond. Additionally, I noticed some staff members were more focused on chatting among themselves than attending to customers. While the food is excellent, the service could use improvement. ”
“ It was raining and we wanted something soothing. This was the perfect place for it. Service was self serve via kiosk. You order your food on the kiosk and when it’s ready, your ticket number will appear on the a tv screen. It’s a Korean restaurant and the atmosphere was giving Korea vibes. I love it! They have sauces and condiments laid out where when you pick up your order, you can just go down the line to pick up the sauces and condiments as needed. There is also complimentary soup base for you as you wait or if you’d like more, and self serve water. We ordered the Naju style beef stock soup and spicy Naju style beef stock soup. They come with different kimchi side dishes. The food was so good, I’ll definitely be back. Till then, let’s eat! ”
“ The restaurant is clean and very spacious. As you enter, there are two self-order kiosks where you can easily place your order while looking at pictures. The prices are very reasonable, and there’s no tipping. You have to pick up your food yourself. The food comes out very quickly and looks exactly like the pictures—neatly presented. At the pickup area, there are utensils, condiments, and beef broth available. Everything we ordered tasted great! The staff works busily. We’ll definitely be coming back! ”
“ Ordering feels kind of like a fast-food place, but honestly, it’s quick, no tipping pressure, and you get used to it. The noodles have a different texture compared to other naengmyeon I’ve had, and the sauce for the bibimmyeon is quite bold. Personally, I liked the seolleongtang more than the naengmyeon ”
“ This will be our new favorite soup place. It is spacious, fresh and clean. The food tastes good also. All our favorite soup dishes are there and tasted like home. This is a self-service restaurant. You order and pay from the kiosk as you enter then go and choose your table. Can’t wait to be back. ”
“ Great food and love the concept. Need more places like this where you order via kiosk and it doesn't ask for gratuity. Also really enjoyed the free hot soup too drink (self service). ”
“ I tried ox head meat soup, very tasty. You could add salt and pepper to adjust the soup base. So good to eat with rice together. The radish side dishes tastes fresh. No tips needed. Will call your number after placing the order at the Kiosk. Do the dish return and leave. Will come again. ”
“ This was a really nice restaurant that made me think that all restaurants in the US might change like this in the future (I wish!). The atmosphere inside the restaurant! The interior design! The food containers! And the taste and quality of the food all made me happy. First, when you entered the restaurant, there're kiosks next to the entrance where you can order right away. Of course, for those who find using the kiosk inconvenient, there was also a place where staff took orders near the food pick-up area. After ordering at the kiosk and waiting for a short while, they called my order number, and I picked up the food and came back to my table. What surprised me the most was that, unlike most self-service restaurants, the interior was luxurious, and the food was served in high-quality Korean traditional brassware, which made me even happier with my meals. Although I usually prefer disposable wooden chopsticks at restaurants, here, they were rather disappointing. I ordered the cold noodles and galbi combo and pancakes made with mung beans (also known as green gram beans). The broth of the cold noodles and the noodles themselves were enough to bring joy to the meal. The galbi that came with the combo were well-seasoned and delicious, and the pancakes had a bit too much of an oily taste, but it wasn't unpleasant, and the taste of the pancakes made me even happier. I wanted to try other dishes as well, and I wanted to come back soon to taste other menu items. It was a restaurant with a luxurious interior, high-quality brassware that made the food look more delicious, and great-tasting foods. ”
